    The Mighty Colossus!

This was a great challenge!! I actually cut and sewn the material into place. The boots were a nightmare!! It's all done!!

That 9" Mister Sinister body is perfect size to make a custom mego Colossus!
My daughter hasn't seen it yet. This is a surprise waiting for her tonight!

The material is vinyl and paint specially made for vinyls. I used the Mister Sinister body's outfit as a base and cut and sewn fabric pieces together and using fabric glue instead of thread and bonding it to the vinyl.
By using fabric paint, there is some sort of rubber silicone in the paint so it allows the material to stretch and bend. So he is very movable and looks a lot better then this picture makes it out to be.
The trick was cutting a diamond out of red material and getting it even and bringing it down on both sides and sewing it to the vinyl shorts. Then I used the belt that came with Mister Sinister and repainted it.

More X-men to the collection (the rest are a few pages down in this same thread area)

Thanks man. I am starting to get into this whole vinyl and vinyl paint thing. I like the material better then the stretch cloth all though it doesn't look good on some characters.

Colossus has been beating up bad guys all morning. My daughter went through the roof when I gave it to her. The key to this whole thing is a giant can of sealer as the the finish. The thing will take a nuclear bomb to chip it after it dries.

BTW. Can anyone tell that I had the weekend off?
