Wanted to share two pics from the Baltimore Comic-con

There weren't a lot of costumed characters around, so I didn't take a lot of pictures on Saturday. I did want to share these two - the first is Ramona Fradon. I got a great Wonder Woman drawing from her, which is in the photo. The second is me with Jerry Robinson, holding a print of one of his Joker cards, that is supposed to be part of the inspiration for the Clown Prince of Crime.

Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

I think everyone who attends comicons gets on at some point. There's always a bunch on the show floor.

Very cool! Ramona Fradon is one of the unsung artists of the DC Silver Age IMO

I actually didn't know who she was until last year. Nate was walking around a show floor - I don't remember if it was Baltimore or Pittsburgh - and tells me I have to come see this artist who's doing beautiful artwork for people. Her stuff is just so amazing. I commissioned a Wonder Woman head shot from her then, and would have gotten others if I'd had the money. I read a little about her, and found out that she had worked on a lot of early Aquaman and other Silver Age books, and the she co-created Aqualad and Metamorpho. I hope to pick up more from her at upcoming cons, because they're really great pieces.

I regret not getting any work from Fradon on the several times I met her. She still has all her fantastic artist chops. She drew WW for years in the Super Friends comic to boot!

Jerry Robinson is one of the last living Golden Age greats. Great pics!
