Maybe people will see the listing, check out the card, think that the price is outrageous, then come here to the Museum, and become "one of us", getting the card for free. Mission accomplished....

Perhaps some one from the MM should start flooding eBay with legit auctions for the starter packs. Hmm...There is a novel idea. Why would people want to buy single cards from scalpers when they can buy starter packs. Brian sells them in his store. Why not list them on eBay to? The MM benefits. Scalping takes a big hit. Win/Win Am I missing something here? Has that already been tried before??

I love that saying. In most cases it is so true.

I'm sure Brian has sold starter sets on Ebay before now.

I have but I found they were going to dealers and some of them (like the seller in question) were kind of rude.

Seeing as they cost me money to sell on ebay, I chose to stop the practice.

You don't really need to anymore.

The card's main purpose has been to promote the Museum when the Museum needed promotion.

Today retro stuff promotes the Museum better than anything ...

Seems like most new members are finding the Museum through Google searches rather than from the cards.

I think the cards have served their purpose well but they're no longer needed for direct promotion.

Quite right too and very understandable.

That's how I found the site. After I looked at my wife Maggy's Walton figures I googled Mego and realized that I had some WGSH figures as a child and loved them. So after more then a year of looking here now and then I finally took the plunge and signed up.
