A Dharma Van on the Road to Shambala!

I finally finished my Mego Dharma Van! I've been wanting to do this project ever since Trica Tanaka died! (If you don't know Lost and want to understand a bit about this project check out this short clip, one of the best scenes in Lost: Hurley's Van)

Dharma Dave and Pete are posing in brand new jumpsuits made by the supremely talented Theressa! Top notch work in triplicate (she made me three of them)!

As far as I'm concerned, the only thing that would make this cooler would be if it had an 8 track player that played Shambala by Three Dog Night!

Oh, wait...it DOES! Check out the video!

There's larger pictures and a decent How-To on my blog, thanks!

Super special thanks to Azrak, who provided tons of advice and know-how!

that must've been the day Hurley washed his van.
looks good. I like the sound clip idea. pretty cool.
I'm guessing it is much easier to find a beater batlab than the Empire camper, eh?

      Oh for sure.

I planned to distress it to look like the one they found in the Junle, but once I painted it I didn't have the heart. Maybe later....

Boy isn't that swell! Really diggin' the Behind the Scenes bits too.

If only Mego had made a van this spectacular. Love the music function.

I honestly didn't think I could get this excited about Lost again after the series ended.

It's an expensive custom, not sure two is in the cards. I have an idea to do a set of faux rust and jungle rot stickers...Mego wildly decorated these with stickers, after all.

Such an awesome project. Great job!

Seriously, Big Bang Pow! should be helping fund these little projects, and getting them some press in the trade news. At the very least, send you some freebies or prototypes or something. This is great advertising. It has definitely made me super excited about the upcoming Lost figures.

That is pretty freakin' sweet! Thank you too for documenting the building process.

                        Oh..my..GOD!

As I've stated, I'm not a Lost fan, but that has gotta be one of THE most impressive custom vehicles I've ever seen...period. The sound just MAKES it! And I love Shambala! Awesome job, Scott! You should be very proud!

Thanks Steve. I'm trying to spread the word to Losties. It's a tall order, I'm so used to posting to Mego people, plus they are kind of scattered now that the show is over and there's still lots of bad feelings from the Finale. But this did get a "Tweet" from the leading Lost podcast, that was cool.

Stickers; I like that idea. Sort of like the 'battle damage' Kenner put on the TIE fighters in the ESB days.
