I had the gold guy with the jet pack. He was alternately a friend or foe for my Mego Pocket Heroes!

I loved metal and metallic figures when I was a kid. I guess I was easily transfixed by shiny things.

I've done a few very uncreative searches for these on ebay but you can imagine the number of responses you get to "Metal Men."

As a kid I had one. He was a soldier. Great figures! I'd love to pick up some, but I never see them available.

WOW...thanks, I picked up a sliver version of the guy standing next to the "18" a couple months back at a tag sale.I had no idea what he was...there is NO copyright info on it. I'll have to pull him out and post pics. The head has a face on both sides.
It makes a great paper wght!

HOLY CRAP! After reading this post, I've been wandering around the the Mego Museum forums looking at photos of the Metal Men and I just saw an orange gun in one of the Corporal Chrome photos. I'VE HAD THAT GUN SINCE I WAS A KID! I never knew what it was, but even as an adult, I'd find it in random places when I was looking for something else. Now that I want to find that gun, I bet I'll have no luck searching, but damn! 30 years later, the mystery is solved!
