This is a real Prototype? Awesome!

I still like the original for its "pack it up (and take it somewhere)" design.

I liked Dida's Space Command center but I thought it was a bit small. This one is a bit small. There is no way, it seems, that Spock or Uhura could sit at their consoles on a stool.

But I want to make a suggestion.

I would like to suggest modules, and I can't find the set blueprint online, but make the Bridge, the Captain's Quarters, and the Briefing Room and Sickbay as modules that can connect by hallways sort of like the original set.

    Just a thought. Probably crazy.

I was going to buy a Diamond Bridge but I convinced my son to get a Dida instead. Those are gone now. I'll probably get him a bridge as soon as I can. The local comic shop had 2 left last time I was in. They are good for storage and give you a place to play sort of.

I would like the option to "redress" it a bit easier to make it an Engineering or sickbay set.

That's the first time I ever heard that. The usual complaint with most playsets is they are too big and no one has room for them.

    Heart Unfortunately

Unfortunately I never ordered one, and I personally wanted to use it to make a video, so just looking at it I thought it was a bit small but I would have ordered one anyway. I think I thought the bridge was a bit narrow. I'll go look again.

I know I did a few tests with the old set and even though the viewscreen was all wrong, it was large enough to hold the helm/nav and Capt chair and let me get a shot in from behind Kirk.

Reversing it however was very tight if I tried to get Uhura and Spock in place, as I recall. The Helm/Nav had to come out to the edge of the set, which was OK. My point is that it was a bit small also for what I wanted, even though it was only 1/2 of course.

I wish I had the Deluxe Space Command Center...

As soon as I have the $ I will check to see if you still have one, or parts of one. I will PM you. I just told my son I missed the chance to get one and he said the Diamond retro one like my old, severely beaten one, would be OK. At least his will be new. And a storage case.

I can't say I have a complaint about the Dida set, because I don't have one. They are gorgeous and I would still like to order one. I want to thank you again for making them. Twice.

P.S. It probably would be big and clumsy for storage, but it would be superior to a box and I already have my old Enterprise in a clear storage box that is about 1.5ft x 2ft so I've already got room I guess...

P.P.S. I just went back to look and the 8 sided one looked a bit more narrow that the 6 sided one, which should be impossible I'd think. I can't go back again tonight because I'm very, very sad that I missed the chance to get one and ask if the individual walls were removeable so I could have the 8 sided one for example, remove one wall and shoot through that opening.

They are so modular they look like they'd have been perfect for what I was working on even if I might need a filter to kill the glare from the vinyl. Thanks again Scott. They are gorgeous and I assume you sold as many as you wanted to make. I apologize I didn't get 2 like I wanted.
