Okay, I've been trying to remember the name of an action figure line that I used to love and I'm at my wits end. I've been wracking my brain for two hours, searching Google, checking vintage toy websites, looking through old comics for ads, and trying everything I can think of to remember it and I have decided that the Mego Museum is my only hope.
They were these military action figures. The comic book ad told how they went RATATATAT with the movement of a lever on their base. There was a machine gun guy, a flamethrower guy, and several others. They wore green (and I think they even made them in blue after SWAT became popular) and they had minimal articulation, just the arms and the waist if I'm not mistaken. I know the legs were solid. I thought they were Combat Heroes or Action Heroes, but those searches turned up nothing. I will lose sleep tonight if I can't remember the name of the toy line.
Help me, Mego Museum members! You're my only hope!
