    Bride of Frankenstein

What to do with a box of Dorothy figures???? This was a figure I've wanted to do for a long time and just got around to it. With the Wolfman figure I made for 2010 Mego Meet going so well, I made up my mind to keep doing Universal Monsters when time allows.
This one is going pretty well so far. I want to repaint the head to be more pale and I need to finish the costume but I wanted to share a bit.

    I'm sitting her gobsmacked!

You didn't use one of the good, boxed Dorothy's did you? Please tell me that you used a junky one.

Well, if you didn't, no problem.

How did you get the hair into that style? It's funky!

For a minute I thought that you used a Mary Ellen Walton doll, as the head is tilted in a downward position.

This is going to be a great figure when it's finished!

That's pretty good. Do you have a Dida monster display to show her off in?

yes it's a boxed Dorothy, just before megomeet I got 2 more boxes, I thought I would sell a bunch there. not so much, so I have like 30 to play with. I had gotten the first box with plans to use them for customs but sold them here. Now I have pleanty of minty bodies for customs.
The head is a casting. I removed the hair from an old Dorothy and sculpted the hair with sculpy. I made a mold and now I can cast up a bunch if things go well.
No display yet but if I keep up with the monsters I'll need one for sure.

If there was a "Best Use of a Mego Dorothy" award - and there should be - you'd have it locked in. She looks great!

I can't wait to see how you do the fabric wraps that covered BoF's arms.

Do you hear that, almitysufx? That is the sound of deafening, thunderous applause from this neck of the InterWebs. Beautiful! As a lifelong Universal Monsters fan, I am agape at your amazing work. Elsa Lanchester herself would be proud!!
