NEW Captain Action and Dr. Eville Figures

Now that we've had a couple of days to look over our factory samples, I thought I'd post a quick visual breakdown of how these new figures stack up to the older version. I think in every way we've made improvements.

couple quick notes: Captain Action still comes with a hat. It is not shown here because there was no intentional change made. Also, these figures are being printed on new cards, too (from comic book artist Art Thibert).

so in essence, those of you who've never owned a Captain Action or Dr. Eville figure... you're getting something great. Those of you who do own them, you're getting something new and improved.

So did the Captain go from a rubber head to a resin one? Am I reading that correctly? Looks great!

as soon as our shipment arrives from China, we'll make a big announcement. the figures are on the water as we speak. we're pretty excited.

Interesting, I can't tell which ones I like more. The first batch look just like the Playing Mantis ones sans the difference in scale, but the new ones really do look more modern and fresh what with the attention to detail in paint.

exactly. we really wanted to capture more of the comic feel with these new ones. The new details are more closely aligned with the comic art.

Why the Change to Art Thibert for the Card ?
Does He draw the Comic or something ?
I'm a fan of Art, But I also Think Chris did a Outstanding Job on the origional packaging.

We love Chris's work as well, that's why he pretty much works on all of our packages. Chris did the layout for the package, some of the coloring and all the artwork on the back of the package is his. Art Thibert has done some other work for the boys at Captain Action Ent. and from the beginning they wanted to get some of his work on 1 of our toy packages. We thought this would be a good time do do that. Chris is still number 1 for us.
