    Aw Yeah!

Jekyll was fantastic. Big Sherlock fan here. I'm on board this one.

The last time someone tried a contemporary Sherlock Holmes film that worked surprisingly well was The Zero Effect (if you buy Ben Stiller as Watson).

Yeah, Jeckyll was one of my favourite series of the past couple of years.

I've never seen Zero Effect but have wanted to, I can buy Ben Stiller in a serious role easier than a comedic one sometimes.

    When will Sherlock be airing?

For me, Ben Stiller always works best when he's playing it straight/deadpan rather than the kind of cinematic mugging he does in Zoolander and Dodge Ball.

    Trailer for Zero Effect...

They essentially loosely adapted A Scandal in Bohemia. A surprisingly assured directorial debut by Lawrence Kasden's son, Jake Kasden.

Watched the pilot last night and I can't get over how well done this is. There is very little updating here, technology is added and everyone assumes Holmes and Watson are a couple but otherwise it really retains the same flavour.

All 3 have been screened now in the UK and a second series of films has been given the go ahead after they proved very succesful. The general feeling was that the second one was the weakest of the three but i enjoyed them all.

Finally got around to seeing the first one.

I really enjoyed it quite a bit. Although I couldn't help thinking "Princess Bride".

Watching all three episodes, I couldn't help thinking the guy who played Sherlock would make a great Doctor Who.
