Oh man! I'm gonna fall out! That's incredible! It does look factory produced! Wonderful job! Now all you need is a Toyroom box!"Do you believe, you believe in magic?

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic

That looks great, like it's fresh out of the toy store box. Let's get some of those soft resin heads for other characters.Comment

That's pretty cool, not to mention creative. Looks great.
He'd look like mini-me next to the real thing.
I wish there was a place you could buy vinyl heads of characters like this already painted but I know the tooling costs are too high. I could just never do a paint job like that and would prefer vinyl over resin.
Oh, I just re-read the description of the head. Hmmm, yeah, maybe this could be the start of the next generation of custom heads short of someone figuring out a cheaper way to rotocast them.

Thank you everyone so much! I really appreciate the compliments.
Bionic Joe is a member here, but I don't think he has been active in some time. He sells them on eBay though, and seems to list them pretty often. Just do a search for "Mego Six Million".
I have thought about that. An 8" scale replica of the original 12" box would be sweet.
Right? I think I remember something about him working in plastics for a living, and found, or developed this ratio for the perfect rotocast like resin. Something like that. Anyway, it would bring customizing to a slightly higher level if all resin heads could be cast like this.
I would love too, I just wish someone would shrink down the original Maskatron head. Bionic Joe offers a John Saxon Maskatron head, but I would only be interested in making one with his robot head/face. We'll see.Last edited by Remco Monster; Jul 14, '10, 2:57 PM.Comment
