star sword...or space sword?

HELP, I'm looking for info on this item...it was a bootleg lightsaber (maybe 24") I got it as a gift when I was a kid (late 70's?). It was one piece, cheap hollow plastic...it would glow in the dark, so it was that off white glow color. The hilt had a black sticker on it and it was on a black card, with artwork showing a white stormtrooper/power ranger guy on it.

I'd love to get one of these...but I can not find it anywhere on the net.

Uh...make that 3! I loved these so much... It augmented my Darth Vader Halloween costume in 78 (yeah I was bucking continuity even then)... I mean what's not to love... a shield and a sword sheath? not to mention GLOW IN THE DARK?! That shield could withstand BB’s, bottle rockets and any dirt clod my peeps could hurl my direction...

Ahhh... If life were only that simple these days?

My brothers and I played with these as kids. Both are sitting in my son's closet right now.

The shield's in pretty good shape, but the sword . . . the blade has a crease and a melted spot from being left too close to a 100-watt bulb when "recharging" 30 years ago, and the graphics are all worn from the grip from too many battles.

What happrened to cool knockoffs like this, anyway?

Silly Fool you know that safe Knock offs like the ones we played with are no longer made they only make dangerous ones now.

I had one of these it made for a cool Thundarr/Blackstar/Conan sword as well.
It got bent and was never the same afterward.
