    A STEAL IMO
Thank You for the "heads up"!

I checked the in-store availability and found that one of the local Barnes and Noble's had it in stock so I drove over and picked up the last copy they had.

The set weighs as much as a cinder block!!!!

I'm very happy to finally own a copy...especially at such a deep discount.

this book was not published by MAD or DC Comics, this book was published by Running Press, which is an independent third party, that being the case, one can assume that they had to acquire the rights. As such, they could've easily acquired the rights to ALL of his work, not just SOME of it.
Dude - it's a GIANT two-volume encyclopedic sized collection on beautiful premium paper - cloth covered with gold embossed letters and a heavy duty slip-case and it's under $30!!!!

It's focused on his MAD work. His pre-MAD freelance work isn't in there, his doodles aren't in there, his convention sketches aren't in there and his Cracked work isn't in there.

Do you pick up "The Complete Michelangelo Sculptures" and complain that they should have put all his paintings in there too?

My favourite was always the Captain Klutz paperbacks.

I would pay good money for a similar hardback giantsized compilation of John Severin's or Bill Ward's complete Cracked work.

          For Mister Blisterfists...

Dark Horse' compilation is a must have if you want his non-Mad stuff.

I've had this book since I was 9. It's rumpled and yellowed. I took it to summer camp and family trips - I've never been far without it!

Don Martin stuff was always the highlight of my MAD magazine monthly fix back then.

Thank you so much for posting this. I ran to my local B&N last night looking for it. They didn't have it, so I snagged it online for $21 and change shipped.

But at the store, they handed me these, which are also a steal:

1001 MAD Pages You Must Read Before You Die (Crammed into 864 Actual Pages), Staff of MAD, Book - Barnes & Noble
MAD for Decades, John Ficarra, Book - Barnes & Noble

I paid $10 apiece in-store for these, but if you nab the online Don Martin, you might as well spend an extra $12 and get these. They're worth it for the Mission Impossible, Jaws, Star Trek, and Star Wars parodies alone. Sadly, the Alien parody doesn't appear to be in either book, but I'll live.

My bathroom library is about to become a vastly more entertaining reading room.

I picked this up a couple of weeks back at Walmart for about eight bucks. I'm assuming that the first volume would have more of the classic Kurtzman Superman, Batman, Wonder Women, Plastic Man comic book parodies and the Mort Drucker Batman, Superman, Hulk etc TV/Movie parodies. I'll have to pick that one up at some point.

It was cool to see Sergio Aragones' work in Mad still. Any Groo fans?

It was a backup feature in a few issues of Usagi, done by Aaragones.

Interesting! I didn't realize Aragones had drawn "Furry" Characters. He's a man of diverse talents!

                            Argones is awesome.

I've been collecting the DC MAD Archive books - they're great, but they've only released 2 so far and they take forever in between. For all I know that collection is dead now.

Aragones did a lot of stuff for DC in the 70's. Mainly in PLOP!
He also had his own Dc Special (or DC Superstars or something) issue.

I hope not! This stuff deserves to be preserved in a high end format. There is a great deal of material that is only available in out of print black and white pocket books.
