    Remembrance of the Daleks

So I've jumped from the Three Doctor's to Remembrance of the Daleks, which I'm watching right now. What is the deal with Omega's Hand? Does this link up to Three Doctors somehow? There is mention of how they think he should be a guy with white hair (Pertwee?)

This is the first episode I've seen with McCoy's Doctor, and I actually quite like Ace. She actually sells the fact that her character would in fact take on a Dalek with a baseball bat. I'm quite surprised at how Badass McCoy's Doctor really is... his appearance is so comical, I always assumed he was as goofy as he looked. The dude wears a PORKPIE HAT after all.

I love Remembrance of the Daleks and have seen it many times but I still haven't figured out what the hand of Omega is.

    I think it's a device/machine.

This could lead back to the talk of the Doctor, Omega and Rassalon all being cahoots long ago.
This storyline was never revealed on screen though so I don't count it as cannon.

This is McCoy's Doctor at his best, he's a total manipulator and they injected some mystery back into the role. The Ace relationship is one of my favourite things about the series in general.

The story takes place at Totters lane, not long after the first Doctor had left. The "Mr Foreman" that owns that junkyard is actually the first Doctor.

The story seems to suggest that the Doctor buried the hand of Omega there and may be the reason he was hiding out on earth in the first place. It's a weapon of some sort.

Yeah, Rememberance takes place 3 months after an Unearthly Child.

The hand of Omega is a Stellar Manipulator.

Basically it's what Omega used to turn a sun supernova to create the blackhole that gave the Timelords their power source.

Apparently when the Doctor left Gallifrey he took several devices with him.

So the Doctor is not just A Timelord, but quite an important one, even prior to his escape from Gallifrey? In this episode he declares that he's the President of Gallifrey or something? (in the animated web series, they say Romana is the President)

I'm assuming not just anyone would have access to deadly devices like the Hand of Omega.

The Doctor was made President during the Five Doctors storyline. Web series I'm guessing takes place afterwards.

The Doctor 1st became president in the Deadly Assassin, was re-instated as president in the Invasion of Time and he was declared president again at the end of the 5 Doctors.

How can he be President and still be running around having adventures? I thought the whole premise of the original series Doctor Who was that he was a renegade/runaway Time Lord.

I guess I'll have to check out those episdoes!

Your second point answers your first question. They've never said exactly what; but the Doctor did something kinda bad and took off because of it.... or maybe taking off was it.... but yeah; he's not exactly appreciated by the more staunch Time Lords.
