    custom contest rundown

Can anyone post a rundown of the custom kitbash contest?

There are some great pics floating around. It would be nice to put some names with the creations.

Looks like CAW gave some of their CAteam out as prizes for the contest?

I can't do it from memory, but when Tom has pics available I can post who did what. Competition was tough this year

We're missing a couple from this set of shots. Jim's Scarecrow is gone, as is a custom made by one of the daughters in attendance. I believe the guy with the Storm head was done by noelani jr. We need an 'awesome pose' category for next year thanks to Del. Also not pictured is Art's Jonah Hex. It also placed along with Charlie and Ron's Lizard.

"Uncle Jason" - non-board member did the Demon. Spamm did Elijah Snow from Planetary. Brue's daughter made Frozone's Wife.

I think kid's of board members did the Frankenstein Indy and Challengers of the Unknown, but I don't want to mix them up.

Huge props to Cast-A-Way for not only starting this tradition, but setting up a customizing table with supplies for folks to gather around and chat while they were making their customs. I found it a great opportunity to socialize with a small group and get to know the other's huddled around the table.

I think the kids really had a good time making their customs as well. As a suggestion, how about a separate category and prizes for 12 and under next year?

I knew I was missing some, by the time the contest was beginning, there was a small crowd around the items and I couldn't get in there. Here is Art's terrific Jonah.

No doubt, thanks to Dave, jason and brian.
I'm pretty sure there will be a kids category next year as well as better defined judging criteria and or categories for us big kids.

              here's my Scarecrow:

1st Place and defending his title - ChrisDVM with pirate robot space dude
2nd Place - megogeek and stabilio - Pimp Lizard
3rd Place - Archibald Baltazar - Jonah Hex

Dave Lee can chime in with prizes. I *think* I remember, but I don't want to screw it up.

My son Chase and I put in a custom Knight, he had a superjoe head and a Thor helmet with a batman DM cape, Sword, mace, and a battle Axe. I didn't see him in the pictures he was next to the all white dude.

This has really turned into something. People were working all weekend on some of them. We may need to break into catagories next year.
