They look like a cross between He-Man and POTA or Astro Apes.

Agreed. Some of the head sculpts are sooo close to being useable. The sculptor has an eye for the John Chambers POTA style.

These were available in USA at KB Hobbies stores right after 1st New POTA movie came out and before the closing of the chain stores. I regret not buying them then and and have not seen them for sale anywhere else. Of course I couldn't remember the name of them.
