I asked a guy I worked with what year he graduated from High School he said you cant ask that in the work place.he was kinda smilling so I cant tell if he was seriuos or not .man what does this fall under sexual harresment or something or is it Politically Incorrect?

That has absolutely nothing to do with asking what year he graduated. When he said that, I would have guessed it out load about 8 years earlier than I really thought.
Maybe he didn't graduate...and lied on his application.

It's perfectly fine and it's not construed as harassment let alone discrimination. Everywhere I've worked people have asked me and I have asked them about year of high school and college graduation.
I guess it's dependent on your work environment and I'm sure it wouldn't go well say at Microsoft or Amazon. Real uptight and strict in those environments.
Luckily I've worked for companies that were very lax and full of artists and musicians.

Years ago I worked for a big convenience store chain that hired a guy as a delivery driver, and asked if he had a class 1 license. Nobody asked to see it. He took out a corner of the building and a customers car about two weeks in with an 18 wheeler. He never had a class 1 license. Insurance didn't cover the building damage, the truck damage, and the company bought the customer a brand new car to make sure she didn't pursue any litigation that would bring it to light. I'm sure they take much better care to make sure today.

Then why would he want to hide that? Embarassed he graduated later...or
embarassed that he was taught at home?
Not to mention, "where" he was schooled wasn't part of the question...
so that makes those deductions seem even less plausible.
I don't think that's possible...everybody that dropped out of high school
knows what year they WOULD have graduated. Instead of acting
touchy about it...the easy thing for that guy to do would've been to just
spit the year back at the guy asking the question...looks less "guilty" that
way for a guy trying to hide that he dropped out, which I assume is not the
case here....sounds more like somebody not wanting to get personal with
details about themselves, or someone that's uncomfortable about talking
about their age.

Maybe he was homeschooled or got a GED? Or maybe he's just having fun at your expense.
When asked my weight, I usually quote Article 3b, subsection 7, clause D of the Genvea Convention and state that providing that information could cause me to be held as a traitor and war criminal to my gender in the ongoing battle of the sexes.

So you were off by 1.)
