I dig 80s hair metal....primarily Bon Jovi, Poison, Whitesnake, GNR (yes I consider them hair metal), Cinderella, Twisted Sister...heck, even Nelson (though they were late 80s/early 90s I think)

I'm not big on 80's hair bands but I did like that song Silent Lucidity -- reminded me of Pink Floyd ... I forgot who sang it.

Hair band fans and non-fans alike should check this movie out; really great stuff: http://www.anvilthemovie.com/
Luv me some 80's metal!
Don't forget Stryper! In God We Trust was one of my favorites . . .
I think Poison would be the Poster Child for this genre
I remember when Grunge hit . . . it was like the radio was playing Whitesnake one day and then poof' they were all gone . . . . a conspiracy that rivals the JFK Assassination
Love Gun:Kiss
Breaking The Chains: Dokken
Wind Of Change: Scorpions
What? No Quiet Riot fans? I didn't really care for hair-metal that was just really poser rock. I did however like bands that were inspired by the likes of Black Sabbath, Kiss, The Doors, Jimmy Hendricks, Led Zeppelin, Iggy Pop, Alice Cooper and I could go on. I even love me some, Manowar! It was pop Metal that almost killed things off and I guess it was a good thing when the Grunge scene helped to kill off that poser rock. Real Metal is still there. You just have to search a little harder to find it. By the way, anyone ever hear of a band called Powermad? Ive been trying in vain to find a CD or MP3 of their album "Absolute Power". They have a song on that one called "Nice Dreams", that is really awesome. Too bad that band didn't stay around. The lead vocalists range could probably shatter diamonds!
