    Spider-Man at Toys By Rizzi

Here's a cool shot from 1979 featuring the webbed wall crawler at the opening of a "Toys By Rizzi" store in Downers Grove, IL. Spider-Man was joined by Bigfoot (not sure if he was the bionic one) but sadly there are no photos of him. If you look closely you can see a whole aisle of Kermit the Frog puppets, yaaaaayyy!
I've never heard of "Toys By Rizzi" before I saw this photo but I'm happy to announce I'll have more on them in the coming weeks. For more Fashion Mockery and 70's toy love visit us at Plaid Stallions.com

I love the way Spidey is perched on the chair, rather than sitting in it.

Yeah, that's what makes that pic so cool

He's even sitting on the seat like Spider-man would

I used to live in Hinsdale, Il and Downers Grove was one of our rivals. I had left by 79 so missed the grand opening!
Too many toys. Not enough space!

It's neat that they had the table sized for the kids and not the adults.

I think I see a few Rowlf puppets there on the left of Kermit
                It's all good!

Great pic! I always love seeing these 'in-store appearance' photos.
