I new of the show in 1978 I was really young but step dad watched it and so did me and my brother and I was amazed by it , then the bionic woman was on and We seen this , I had no toys then , in 1980 in a local shop in my small home town there they were six million dollar man and bionic woman figures costing 6.95 pounds each I begged my uncle for them , and that was it I really could not believe how well they was made I has the UK figures in the slim line boxes some weeks later I was given the rocket from a guy in my street 7 years later I would buy six million dollar man's Halloween out fit from the same shop and another bionic woman figure from this its never stopped ...

I grew up with it- being a boy under 10 in the mid-70s, you couldn't escape it (much like Star Wars just a few years later).

But clearly others were of a slightly later generation: what got you into into it if you weren't 'there' in the heyday?

I grew up watching the Bionic Woman, and sometimes the SMDM, (when Bigfoot or the Fembots were on).

I've posted this pic before but below is what got me into it. I probably got hooked on SMDM at the tail end of the series. This photo was taken Chritmas of 1977 and the show ended March of 1978. I really loved the show as much as a 4 year old could I suppose. Plus one of my earliest memories is of watching it with my Dad. These were really the first action figures I owned.

I have a lot of the Denys Fisher line boxed. I sold a boxed 2nd Edition Steve Austin last year with the steel girder, which I sort of regret now as they're pretty scarce. I will post pics soon.

I had a huge pile of SMDM stuff as a kid but none of it made it past 1979 when we moved across the country and I had to severely pare down my toys.
I started recollecting last year but have been on hold due to lack of funds. Still need a few Maskatron parts (shirt, pants & Oscar mask), Oscar's briefcase & Steve's red shirt and socks to complete the few loose figs I've picked up so far.
Techie question: is it possible to swap hands on any of the figures? I have one with some bite marks I'd like to swap for a nice one.
