At last, my catalog arrived!!! I know hindsight is 20/20, but I believe if Mego had offered these products in 1978, they would still be around today.

Congrats to all who submitted customs, to all who developed and designed this awesome piece. It is truly outstanding, and shows how talented the folks around here really are.

        Bravo!!!

Oh, and thanks B, for the cards and stickers!

My son has been reading his copy religiously for a couple of days now. His question tonight: "Dad, is Super Collector the ruler of all Megos?"

Did you answer "No but his suit has the power to give Daddy nightmares?"

                        What really killed MEGO

It's a nice sentiment, but the truth is that MEGO was done in by high
interest rates on a new factory in China and from putting a lot of R&D
into electronic hand held games. Over the space of a few years, that
                        combination drained their resources.

1978 was a good year for the Mego Corporation - thanks partly to
Micronauts and WGSH. Like any good company, they kept pushing the
envelope on product development instead of just making more of the
                        same thing.

1978 was chosen for the catalog since 1977 was the last year of
                        new 8 inch figures.

I'm a history buff and I feel it's important to know what really happened,
                        warts and all.

That is one of the best analogies I've ever read Paul, so much better than "They passed on Star Wars"..

I ordered the first day but haven't received mine yet. I will keep watching the mailbox. Anxious to get my hands on it.

If you ordered the first day, it left after the Easter holidays, there was no mail here until Tuesday. They're all in the mail unless you ordered yesterday, I only got half of the orders done.
