Oh, wow, what a collection! Even Strawberry Shortcake.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Yep, those are Cindy's. They are copies of the same one, but one has a pretty bad dent in the side. I have my childhood MOTU box on the other side. I really need to get that shelf installed.

Did you ever get the Superman II lunch box? I remember some time ago seeing a pic of the thermos you have and you commenting that you needed to find the lunch box. Your Superhero boxes are a nice looking group, BTW.

^Nope, I still don't have it! It's a plastic one with a sticker, but I still want it... and Superman III!

The one I was thinking of was actually the Daniel Boone lunchbox, I had that image in my mind, I just thought it was Disney’s Davy Crockett instead.

This thread is now downright nostalgic!

Wow, awesome stuff, guys. I’m immensely enjoying this old thread.

All of the lunchboxes being posted here are beauties, all of them.

              Keep them coming!

My fav was my first one based on Super Friends. In early 90's while stationed in Cali, I found another one affordable at a resale shop, so I bought it along with its thermos.

The Super Friends lunch box was my first lunch box, bought before I went to kindergarten. It wasn't until about 20 years ago that I looked at it, noticed the pink pipeing, the dominant placement of Wonder Woman, Batgirl, Supergirl and Catwoman and realized IT WAS A GIRL'S LUNCH BOX!!! Now, I'm more enlightened these days, but 5 year old me would have been mortified if any of his friends picked up on this at the time!

But either way, it's a great lunch box, and my favorite childhood one. I now have two so I can display both sides!

                    Two spring to mind:

The Road Runner and Coyote one, only I had to do a lot of searching to find a pic of the plastic case I had. I never even saw a metal lunch kit until I was an adult; my childhood was mostly a plastic one.

But my favorite one was the Marvel Super-Heroes one, which always had schoolmates coming over to ask who all the other heroes on the kit and thermos were because they only knew the "big names". Nobody knew Hawkeye or Scarlet Witch and hardly anyone I knew read comics. And, again, I had the black plastic one but I can't even find a pic of that online.

^I REALLY want that Marvel lunch box. I almost stole one when I was a kid. Someone had left it sitting in their backyard along an alley way I rode my bike down a lot, a block or two from my house. It sat there for days. Every time I passed it, I was tempted. But I never caved. Eventually, someone either took it in the house...or another kid stole it!

I always wanted the Marvel lunch box and this thread motivated me to finally track one down. Last week, I found the box and thermos separately on eBay and got good deals on both.

What is pictured on the sides and bottom? I thought I saw a little bit of Iron Man? this is definitely a cool lunchbox.

Just added another to my collection and it is one I have always drooled over, so if you have one and posted pics of it..."thanks a lot" for motivating me to go after this. This might be the best one in my collection, condition-wise.

Almost zero rust. None outside, very little inside and only the tiniest of bits in the expected corners and lips, and no dents anywhere. The colors are vibrant. It looks almost brand new.

This is one of two that I wanted to add to feel I could say in my heart, "Good enough!" All that remains is Planet of the Apes for me to feel like anything else would be "incidental". Not that there aren't others I want, but they would be icing on the cake.
