    Ultron Vs. The Avengers

I have been working at this android covered in Adamantium for almost a year. Poking and prodding and never satisfied.
I don't claim to be Joe Customizer but I do my best and that is all I care about. As long as my daughter is happy with the outcome of the figure.

For the longest time I was going to put on a shiny fabric costume over this guy but I decided not to.
I experimented with several body suits until I decided to take a junky CTVT's body that was headed to the dump until I fished him out and restrung his body.
Then I altered each appendage with different various versions of sculpty.
I had to take a light to each section to heat up the clay to make it hard but without melting the body (I accidentally nearly melted a hole in his side but I fixed it.) The trick was getting his arms and legs perfect up to the ankles, shoulders, knee bends and neck so that he can move them. That is what took so long. The planning of actually making him a "action figure"

The head is my creation. A long and drugged out process I thought I would never get to the end of. I spent hours looking at the many changes of this robot monster before I came to this conclusion. I will never be like my hero (Captain Mego) who is a master at this but oneday I will get it.

You may not call this a Mego because he lacks clothing. It is all my sculpting and my painting but I think I like what I got for this prototype and I might attempt to do a couple more if this turns out to be a hit (on some level).
Lots of metallic silver paint with Clear Acrylic Sealer does the final wonders to the indestructible robot.

I love the wood paneling in the background of all your stuff... very 70's. Stuff looks super cool. Your passion for superheroes is evident in all your customs.

Thank you very much!! I try to keep a certain element of colors and feelings around my collection so that my daughter will get have a fun time playing and coming up with ideas.
The Ultron is still in prototype form. Which means I am debating on doing a few more things to him. Sorta like I did my Blob.

Thank you again Cmonster! People like you and my buddy Al make it worth coming back here.

When we come to Italy this summer Al. I will bring the whole set up. We can have a Mego Meet and then jam with the dolls all around us. Not sure if the band will think it is fun but what the heck.

That totally rocks Cat! I'm really digging the head sculpt, did you cast that up?
As far as being a customizer goes thats the beauty of this place, you can be at any level and the good folks here enjoy it. We have people here that do a really good mego likness, there a people like you who do it out of love, there's nutjobs like me who are basically kitbashers, and there are folks who I wouldn't even call customizers but true artists! So keep up the good work.
