We lost power since Saturday afternoon due to high winds and strong rain, there were power lines down, trees uprooted and flooding in most of the 5 boroughs.
Between this and all the snow 2010 won't be forgotten!

Just came back this morning but as we were driving in there were patches of blocks still in darkness! I took some video of a down power line with my flip, trying to figure out how to put it up here, thank goodness for the rain because one of them feel in a wooded area and could have been bad!Originally Posted by Type3Toys

My power went off for 3 hours on Saturday night during prime time
Wires were torn to shreads all over the road

Fortunately we kept our power. It flickered two or three times.

Spain is covered in a meter of snow.
And this is usually a good time to visit Spain (and not to go snowboarding there).
Germany and the UK had it hard, too.
Only Belgium was spared. We truly are the chosen people...ahum....
