Some of the Mr. Action unfiroms are styled after Big Jim uniforms. The green tracksuit is a good example.

Ah, Gasoline Alley Antinques in Seattle..2 yrs ago I lived about four blocks East of the store. Little hole-in-the-wall with very odd hours. Walked in there one day prior to living close to it and asked if they had any action figures. They pulled a box out from behind the counter - I think the only Mego I found was a Cochise. There's a cool record/collectible store a few blocks down from Gasoline Alley.

Always great to see nice KO stuff. I'm more a fan of the early 1960's knock-offs -- some had items that were every bit as good as the GI Joe line's. The days when they weren't afraid to push their luck.

Yeah, I'm talking about Mego's Fighting Yank stuff...

I never could nail down a specific year for Bill Champ other than early 1970s. Totsy who made Bill Champ was a prolific producer back in 1960s-70s having started before Gijoe began by producing Barbie and Ken type clothing then they got into Gijoe type Soldier clothing. Action Buddy was by Totsy too!

Here's a close Up pic of Action Buddy with Big red in background

yeah doing barbie and ken stuff first gave them a head start offering male stuff that hasbro never did.
I got of totsy MY BUDDY and ACTION BUDDY gear to include army shoe shine kit and a shaving bag with electric razor, stanard razor and other toletries.

Totsy stuff for the most part is excellent quality in 1960s and pretty good in 70s. I just completed the loose and hard to find basic Totsy Spaceman uniform after years of trying to find it/figure it out.

Mr Action really had brand idenity and fit Gijoe very well. Who else but LJN would put wheels on a training tower? I also like the cardboard backdrops which were great for rainy days when you were stuck inside.

Favorite hands down LJN uniform is 1st Racecar driver seen here:
I really like the STP oil sticker it came with it.
