I got a superjoe head and finagled it onto a type one body then cut off the arms and legs and added the arms and legs from a sigma six ninja joe then added the original superjoe black uniform and he kicks ***. Doc Mego makes a superjoe head with out the beard and he makes a great Star Trek red shirt or crewman. I need to take a picture of my superjoe and post him he is really cool.

Yeah I have a the Super Joe Coimmander head an its no bigger than Spock. Now I just have to make sure cast a Way still offers swivel biceps!

I dont want to do a recast. I want a Mego with an officla SuperJoe head.

I guess I could superglue it.

I 'll have to look at the Playing Mantis Action Jackson again. SuperJoe has a female neck connector while Mego heads have a male FYI.

I had Super Joe with the beard as a kid. About 10 years ago I took a box of some of my old toys from my parents house to my house. My Super Joes hands and joints all were turning to dust and he fell apart in my hands. The same thing with the joints of my Bullet Man Joe. Does this happen frequently?

Unfortunately yes, the material that Hasbro used for the 12" Joe muscle body's joints (including your Bullet Man), and the Super Joe's joints and hands almost inevitably deteriorates into dust (literally!). I have a pair of Super Joe hands that I've hung onto just for fun, and it's amazing (and scary) what they have turned into over the years. What the hell did Hasbro use for these??

When I did photos for this gallery, pieces of the hands started falling out of the cards. It felt weird vacuuming them up.

Aviva's Space Academy figures (except Loki) were made of the same crap. I bought 3 boxed figures at a toy show and the minute I opened the box, Tee-Gar's hand promptly fell off. I didn't open the other 2, but Commander Gampu's hand fell off on it's own and Chris Gentry's hands are cracked all over, and the thumbs are falling off.

I suppose it's better to feel weird vacuuming them up rather than be weird and save all the pieces in a little plastic baggie like I'm doing.

That's funny. I put mine in a baggie too after I had found him decaying. I kept for about a year like that and then threw him away. I figured he was way beyond repair and he wasn't one of my favorite toys anyway. I kept his clothers, boots and backpack though. I didn't think to put his head on a Mego body. Not that I think doing that would be on my immediate to-do list. Bulletman I would like to repair though since I guess finding a replacement body is not going to work. Any ideas on that?

  9. i have mine still in baggies, because they have all fallen apart:
    Shield
    Darkon
and i wish i could repair them. If i cement the parts together with modeling cement, i'd have nice looking statues, without hands, though.

I'm happy this thread was resurrected. I was introduced to Super Joe at Mego Meet this year. I was lucky enough to get a Commander in a trade with Trappy Trek Freak. He has the origanal outfit and almost flawless original head........ he's awesome! I sense that the trade was lopsided in my favor and i can't thank him enough for allowing me to add a Super Joe to my collection.
