I loved these--I had Gor (so cool, even tho less articulated) & Luminos. Always wanted the Shield, but no luck...

I too wish Hasbro would try something new with some of these characters, but they can't (won't) even revive/re-do Bulletman...
WANTED: RM Robin & P. Parker heads; Batman "waffle" gloves; mint Wolfman tights; Knights', Merry Men, Conan, & Dale Arden swords; Lion Rock (pale) Dracula head;T1 GGoblin body (in good shape but can restring); POTA Soldier Ape minty bandolier; yellow bridle & stirrups; POTA Stallion complete set of tack; Fighting Furies Spanish & Buccaneer outfits & boxed Hook.

You'd probably have to add a MEGO neck plug onto the bottom of the Joe neck and do a casting, but the Joe head would be out of scale on an average MEGO body... If you'd make a resin head, you could maybe get by putting something like that on the slightly larger MEGO body from a OMBC figure, but I don't think it'd be worth all the trouble... (If you just want a MEGO style Joe, you could make a psuedo Super Joe by dressing an A/J in the clothes.)

If you're just trying to find a suitable replacement body for S/J, I think people have put the Super Joe heads on the Playing Mantis "Action Jackson" figures with some success... (These were closer to S/J scale than a MEGO body would be...)

superhjoe is bigger than mego standard body it might be in scale on the 9" flash gordon/Doctor who body or even the modern toybiz famous covers to Action Jackson bodies might be a closer fit

Super Joe has been a toy line I've always hated. I loved my 12 inch Joes and was furious when they stopped making them. I even remember turning off the TV commercials for Super Joes, because I did not want to see them

Think B.A. Where did you hide the Megos?

Unfortunately the Flash Gordon bodies are too big. I just took a quick pic comparing the bodies. Super Joe is in between the size of an 8" and 9" Mego. My restored Super Joe has standard Mego hands and even they look a bit small on him. I don't have a Playing Mantis AJ figure so I can't compare him to the Super Joe.

    Hmmmm....

I think you could get away with a SuperJoe head on an 8" body. (If only someone had an extra one they didn't need....)

I have a small collection of SuperJoe, not a big one. Super Joe heads look fine on a regular mego body. I've done this before and you really can't tell the difference in scale. But the suits are TOO big for a regulart mego body. I've repaired lots of SuperJoes over the years. It's NOT an easy task either and that's why I charge a small repair fee. I've got complete parts cast of the SuperJoe bodies too. That way, if I need a missing part to complete a figure, I've got it. I've thought about molding and casting Gor. He's a neat monster and is in mego scale. I've made some custom SuperJoe vans out of Barbie campers. Works really good and looks vintage too.

They are a little baggy, but not terrible... I used to put TREK figures in them and they didn't look bad...
