    Just got my power back

Well we didnt get all the snow that the weatherman forecasted for us.... instead southern and central New Hampshire got hit with a mini hurricane on Thursday night!! Trees are still down all over the state and power lines are down. I lost my power around 11p.m. thursday night and just got it back about an hour ago. The temp in my house got down to 42 and one of my fish died. No heat , no hot water , food in the fridge and freezer are still o.k. cuz it was so cold. Thank goodness one of my friends the next town over had power , so I had a place to shower and stuff. I feel real bad for the people in the boonies hat wont have their power back for about another week or more.

That's why we keep the camping gear handy during the winter. The cook stove has helped cook meals and the sleeping bags are warm. You never know how much you need power until you don't have it.

When you wrote "got my power back", I immediately thought: teleportation? Laser vision eyesight?
I should get out more often and read less comics...

I think I'd rather be hit by a hurricane in the summer. Then when there is no power for hot water its not so bad taking a cold shower in 95 degree heat.
