    The fiendish Fisherman: Phase 1

Captain Jack Relic, pirate, scalawag, and overall scoundrel. Based out of Campbell River British Columbia, Jack was officially a log salvager who earned a living traveling the coastline tracking down logs that had broken away from logging barges. (Most times, the logs had a little help breaking away in the first place.)

Cap'n Jack wasn’t above doing anything for a dime, but may have bit off more than he could chew when he began acting as a pirate. holding up fishing yachts hired by wealthy tourists. This brought him to the attention of the Aquatic Avenger, Aquaman, who quickly scuttled Cap'n Jack Relics "business venture".

When Jack got out of jail, he found his boat had been auctioned off by the police. Without a boat, and without any firm job prospects, Jack became an alcoholic. His mind filled with hate for Aquaman, and after a nights libations at the local rat hole "Molly's Reach", Jack would head down to the docks and scream obscenities about Aquaman at the Ocean, hoping to draw out the Sea King, so Jack could shoot him with his high powered spear gun (his last possession).

One night, Jacks ranting drew the ire of the other drunks at the dock, and the RCMP were called in. Vowing to never go to jail again, Jack ran off and hid in a boat to evade capture. This particular boat belonged to a group of undersea archeologists, and in its hold was an atmospheric diving suit, used to explore the ocean bottom. Sobering up a little, Jack realized if he could get the suit, he could take his revenge directly to Aquaman. In short order, he stole the boat. Reworked the old diving suit for deep sea combat, and set out for the high seas, looking to extract his revenge!!
(Fisherman Phase Two will be wearing this diving suit).

(as any Canadians in the audience will quickly pick up on, Cap'n Jack Relic is loosely based on the Relic character from the Beachcombers tv show. The Jack part of his name is taken from ‘Gassy Jack' Deighton, who founded Gastown....now known as Vancouver.)
