    Magnetic Robin

I got my Robin today. I've wanted this guy since I was 4. I got him at a good price but he didn't have a tunic and cape. So while I waited for him to arrive I made one using 12" Superman as my model. This is my first time doing sewn on sleeves and I learned how to gather (though next time will be better) the cape.

My next question is should I paint his head? It's a little on the grey side and I'm pretty good at color matching paint. We actually had a class on it when I took graphic design in collage. Will it ruin the value? I don't exactly plan on selling it ever.

Anyway, here are the pictures of the tunic. I used a material other then nylon for the red. I wanted the brightest red possible. His speedo is original but I considered making one using the same green I used for the sleeves. The sleeves are pretty close to the color of his hands and feet.

I would have taken more pics but my camera decided to run out of batteries.

Looks very professional! I'd paint the head. I just got an Aquaman head and that's a bit greyish, and was contemplating the same thing. If you're not gonna sell it, got for it!

De-gray the head and make trunks for him and get a bigger "R" fro his chest and he's perfect!

Thanks for the great article on de-greying. I ended up just painting his head. I think it turned out ok. I'll post pics a little later.
