I had the Superman version of that Batman brush.
And as for those mushroom shaped ceramic cookie jars/containers from a few posts earlier... there's still one in my kitchen to this day!Last edited by Bruce Banner; Jun 8, '20, 4:03 PM.PUNY HUMANS!Comment

[B]10 YEARS LATER AND I'M BRINGING IT BACK BABY!!
A new list of things that seemed to in so many homes back in the day. How many of these ubiquitous 70s things were in your household?
Anything mushroom shaped, but these canisters in particular
You at least knew somebody with lucite grapes on their coffee table.

My Mom did ceramics when I was young and had these sports figures for football and baseball. When I got married and started doing ceramics myself I took them and repainted them and now they sit in a display case in my foyer.sigpic WANTED: Boxed, Carded and Kresge Carded WGSHComment

Hell!, the curse of the giant utensils had to be hanging in most of our families' kitchens and dining rooms! For the record, I was questioning those even at an early age.
However I always marveled at the confidence my mom exhibited with her full arsenal of Tupperware (I can still taste the plastic leeching into the Kool-Aid) and Corning Ware. She seemed invincible… or at least capable of handling any casserole or marshmallow dessert leftovers with such grace and efficiency.Comment

Of all that stuff I only remember us having the giant fork and spoon (seems like everyone here had them, why the hell were they so popular??). We didn't have the lucite grapes but I saw plenty of them lying around at other people's houses. My parents were antique collectors and dealers, so our decor tended to skew more towards antiques rather than newer, trend of the month decorations, so we didn't have most of this stuff in our house.Comment

My dad purchased by grandfather a cuckoo clock when he was stationed in Germany while in the army during the 1950s. It was in my grandfather's living room up until the house was sold when he passed in '83. It's still in a box somewhere in my basement, but I don't think it's been out of that box since '83.
