R.I.P. Adam Cartwright and Trapper John, M.D.

LOS ANGELES Pernell Roberts, the ruggedly handsome actor who shocked Hollywood by leaving TV's "Bonanza" at the height of its popularity, then found fame again years later on "Trapper John, M.D.," has died. He was 81.
Roberts, the last surviving member of the classic Western's cast, died of cancer Sunday at his Malibu home, his wife Eleanor Criswell told the Los Angeles Times.

(Had an opportunity to talk to this guy once....I'm sorry he died, but wherever he is now, I'll bet hes complaining about how they bury him)

All the pictures they have been using in the press are of him in character from Bonanza-a show he spent his whole life distancing himself from. Payback's a bee-yotch Pernell!

I used to love watching the reruns of both shows, back when they were in syndication.
I liked him as Trapper better than as Adam though.

He played Adam great ..... Hoss and Little Joe were more fun, but Adam was the most realistic.
