Need HELP - Fleetwood Toys Ghost Rider

    Hi all,

Does anyone here know the back-story on the Fleetwood Toys Ghost Rider variant toys?

One version has Ghost Rider (skull head) on a regular style cycle (red & chrome), with a human Johnny Blaze head as an extra part on the left side of the package.

The other has Ghost Rider (skull head) on a flame or fire cycle (orange/red), with a human Johnny's head as an extra part on the right side of the package.

I have the flame cycle version, but I can't find any info on it. I'm very curious on which was the 1st produced, most rare, etc. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Geoff

The red one's the later one as that's the newer logo, you can also see it in the 1980 catalog:

      1980 Fleetwood I Spider-Man I Hulk I Sgt. Fury I Plaidstallions.com

I still think that is an insanely cool, out-of-the-box piece. When I first saw it in Wizard (or Toyfare?), I couldn't believe it existed.

Thanks, I saw that too.. so the fire version was the 2nd produced it seems.. which would also seem to make it the least produced too? As the 1980's catalog was about the time when Heroes World stopped offering items.

Wish there was a comprehensive info site on this stuff.

Those are really cool. Great to see lower tier Marvel characters on vintage toys. Love the Captain Mar-Vell car as well.
