AJ Irwin Dune Buggy Pre AJ

I picked this up on ebay last week, the wheels are different and it has a windshield so I would assume this is the model that was produced before the AJ line?

Barbie's dune buggy was a completely different mold
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

this is a barbie buggy. I have the same mint with the irwin /matel barbie sticker
yeah they left off the wind shield, and early AJ still had the mounts for it.
later ones mounts was filled in.
same thing when irwin offered there girl cars to boys they changed the color to dark green and left off the wind shield and filled in the mounts.

You are incorrect. The Barbie dune buggy is a completely different mold. The Barbie dune buggy was slightly retooled and sold as Big Jim's Dune buggy but not for AJ.

    Barbie's Dune Buggy.

Yeah your right but they also offered this to as a barbie dune buggy Mattel contracted irwin for this
just like they offered a Aston martin in 67
and a Irwin jeep in red or for pink barbie in the 60's

Thanks for all the insight guys! Yeah I have seen those Barbie Dune Buggys but I think they were made by mattel, I was talking about the Irwin brand. Either way for ten bucks I think it was a great score....
