The toy soda dispenser (the one I got was 7-Up, I really wanted Coke but they didn't have it in the Catalog)
In my naive mind, when they said "working dispenser" I figured on something more complex than hooking up a bottle of pop to a nozzle and placing it inside the thing. And the nozzle leaked a lot, and I thought it would be bigger.
It didn't blunt the nostalgia though, a couple years ago I got a MIB 7-Up dispenser from Ebay.
I went through two non-working MOTU Attack Traks until I finally got one that worked. And even then it didn't work very well. The real bummer was that I got my first one for Christmas. Nothing sucks worse than a non-working Christmas toy...
...or a non-working birthday toy. My wife and I bought our son the Mattel RC Flying Superman from Superman Returns. That thing was the biggest waste of plastic ever made. It would NOT fly at all. It didn't even glide. My son was beyond disappointed. Luckily TRU took it back and he was able to buy a cool Lego Batman set with the money.
- Ice Bird (made snow cones). Also, the Snoopy's dog house snow cone maker. We were never able to shave or crush ice the way we expected.
- Anything with clay or modeling clay. I had a little plastic potter's wheel, but the clay was too hard.
- Agreed on the electric race tracks & vibrating football. I had a friend with a perfect vibrating football table, and his pieces worked great, too. Mine was garbage. Doubly frustrating.
- Ideal Power-Mites,..man,..i remember my dad bought me three and none worked!
- Ideal Zeroids,..mines never ran by itself,..so i had to push it around,..you could hear the motor,..but nothing happened,...Bummer!
- Gilbert James Bond Road race set! Never worked,..cars would just stop, go to fast and/or de-rail,..beautiful set but a piece of junk! Still remember that Christmas morning,..with horror and frustration!
