Blackest Night Flash #2

Thanks to the Rogues, I think The Flash Blackest Night mini has a bit more "guts" and character to it than the Wonder Woman one, which I really don't think needed to be a mini unto itself (maybe a one-shot?).

At this point, I can easily see The Rogues supporting their own series under the right creative team.

I keep wondering how they are going to be collecting these side miniseries in relation to Green Lantern and the main Blackest Night mini.

Reading them as they come out week to week, one might suspect that collecting the whole shebang chronologically like Seven Soldiers works better than having someone read the Blackest Night collected Edition, followed by The Green Lantern Blackest Night collection, GL Corps BN Collections, Flash BN Collection etc.

The BN Flash book was pretty good. Can't say I like Kolins art, DC seems enamored of him, but he's too sketchy for my taste. That Solomon Grundy series he did was terrible.
I would consider buying a Rogues series. I think it would work best as a series of mini-arcs though, one or two spotlighted in each with an occasional mass team-up. Going up against other heroes or other villains besides the Flashes. And with a good deal more fun and less angst and death. The classic Rogues stories were fun - these guys are thieves not killers.
The hard part about a villain series is that at some point, if not every issue, the bad guys need to get caught. It's the problem the Joker book suffered from in the '70s...you have to pit the series star villain against bad guys worse than he is. The Secret Six book by Gail Simone manages this pretty well.

Kolins style has gotten unbearable IMO....DC seems to be letting him try his hand at scripting as well so maybe he should just go with that.

Flash has the best Rogues Gallery in comics today (Batman's a close 2nd but I don't care for a lot of his rogues that were introduced in the late 90s to now...)

Kolins # 1 BN Flash wasn't too bad...., But Johns was writing it too ...
I liked the Bizzarro /ManBat Team up Against Black Lantern Grundy too.

The Catwoman Blackest Night book Was great !
I can't believe that a Book with Harley, Catwoman and Ivy isn't out there...., I'd buy, it was fantastic !

Speaking of Joker...., I can't believe he hasn't shown up yet in Blackest Night ...

Uh, there is such a book....Gotham City Sirens....pretty good too. Besides Batgirl, it's my only foray into Gotham currently.

I dunno....even though Rainbow Raider is usually considered lame for Flash villains, I'd rather take him than Mr. Zsasz, The Ventrioloquist, Amygdala, Black Mask or any of those other sucky Bat villains

But if we're sticking to the tried-and-true villains up 'til the 70s/80s the Bats one are hard to beat....like Joker, Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman, Mr Freeze, Two-Face, Calendar Man (!), Killer Moth (!!)....
