Has anyone successfully shrunken a Mego suit?

I am working on a custom for someone and it would make this so much easier if I could just shrink an existing male suit to fit a female body. Has anyone done this without ruining the suit and any screenprinting on it?
Hey! Where's the waiter with the water for my daughter?

    Check out my customs!

Oh, ok. When it was suggested that I shrink the suit, I automatically thought of shrinking it by washing it in hot water or something!

it might shrink enough to be really tight on a male but not enough to look good on a female - the polyester does not shrink that much from hot water
