He looks SO much better on a Mego body! Thanks for sharing!

How about a shot of him with the Mego body, in Mego boots rather than those clunky new ones? Have any Cast-A-Way boots you can try on him?

Here he is on the old body in old (not made in China) repro boots.

Sorry I don't have any original boots.

First off, thanks for doing all these experiments for us. You rock!

When you talk about removing the neck post/plug... is this a removable part, or was this like you going in with a dremel?

Thanks for the shot in the originalish boots! Looks better, but now I am thinking my recipe will be...

Cast-A-Way body (so he can have the swivel biceps)
Green Cast-A-Way boots (they fit MUCH better than Mattel's, at least Capt. Action's do, and the color and rubber style looks like it would match the figure better than Mego boots)
Green Cast-A-Way gripper hands (only thing that sucks there, is they don't come with green wrist pegs. I wonder if the Mattel hands will fit a Cast-A-Way body? They look like they might)

                    Thanks.

Yes the neck post is a separate piece. Its attached to a disc that just floats around the neck cavity. I had to kind of mangle it to get it out. I don't think its needed and gets in the way for vintage heads.

You can see the mangled piece to the right of the chest in this picture:

Hi pmwasson, when you remove the feet do you just hold it under hot tap water for a few minutes or use boiling water?

Now I am really excited about this figure again. The legs and boots really had me down. And now that I now for sure that the glove on the arrow turns, I am fine with the bow.

Mine is due on the 5th. Can't wait!

I used boiling water, but the plastic is very rubbery, so hot tap water may work.

Thanks for the reply. I thought I would get less strange looks from my wife, holding a naked doll under the tap than boiling water, lol.

lol, the old hair dryer trick might work as well. That is what I have always used.
