    Sad story of a 1980s Christmas.

    I wanted the Galoob Inspector Gadget. Of course I tried to be aclear as pssible with Mom. I cut the page out of the Sears catolg and everything.

    She got the numbers wrong over the phone and I got a Starriors remote controlled T Rex that spit checkers out of its mouth. Lame. Gadget had a "Real Cloth Trenchcoat" !

    A yuletide hole in my heart. :-(

    oh man ... thanks ... I have gadget on my want list forever and forgot about him ... now you just made me want him all over again. Some kid I sort of knew had one ... cool stuff, but never found him in a store back in the day

    I remember seeing those in KB toys on clearance for next to nothing. I hated Inspector Gadget.
