Cool Thread! I'll get in on this as soon as the decorations are on it. I got some cool stuff like Batman and Flash. Love the pix people!

That gold one to the right is made just like my Christmas toy soldiers my mom got from FTD when I was 7. The fringes fell off within the first 5 years. I still have them. The bases fell off and the wires are exposed on the bottom. The green one's hat has lost its brim, but I still love them and still hang them.
Yes, I have a real soft spot for vintage pixie/kneehugger ornaments. I picked up the tree, lights, and star last year after Christmas for 75% off specifically so I could do a pixie tree this year. There's still three or four that wouldn't fit, so they'll end up on the big tree this week.
The gold pixie you mentioned is a tree topper. The tinsel has seen better days, so I decided to just stand it beside the tree instead. If you look carefully at the tree, you can spot a couple of 60's toys near the top.

This is the mini tree in my bedroom. I still have to set up the big tree in the living room.

Wow! I had totally forgotten about those stuffed Santa's with the pull cord. I had one of those in the late 60's, early 70's. Hey George do you know the name of the manufacturer that made that? I would love to find one on Ebay! That sure brings back some memories when I was a little kid.

Yep, he's a Mattel Patter Pillow from 1968. Here's a pic from the eBay auction I got him from:

He still kinda/sorta works, but I'll probably send him off eventually to get him working fulltime again. I think I paid around $45.00 for mine, so you should be able to get one fairly easily.

    Fantastic little tree, George

    Love the icicles

99.999% of people never use them anymore -- and it's a shame.

Wow! Thanks for the additional pic. Boy and I thought I hadn't forgotten anything from childhood. This sure takes me back. I'm on the hunt now. Thanks George!

I do! I love icicles! (I hope Shawn loves 'em too!)
