Thread: preparing for Hurricane Dean

Hybrid View

  1. preparing for Hurricane Dean

Well guys hurricane Dean is expected to come towards the Brownsville Mexico border by next Wednesday if the projected path is correct. If it does I won't be here. I will be evacuating with my family to Kerrville Tx. with the state center I work for. Hopefully everything will be allright. My family is scared especially my children but I reassure them everything will be allright. My wife wants to stay because of her family but there is no way I will leave them behind I love them too much. We are about 20 miles from Brownsville so it will have big impact on us if it hits Brownsville Tx. Hopefully it will go a different way. Wish me luck and if we evacuate I will talk to you guys when I get back. Everyone on the boards take care.

  4. I moved to Texas in 1984. I was born in Gary Indiana so I never experienced a hurricane and have only experienced a weak tropical storm while living here in the Rio Grande Valley. I hope I never experience one and this one goes elsewhere.

I know what its like, next time we got one coming this way, we are outta here. Not going to experience it again. Good luck to you and the other folks in its path. The storm's up to 150 mph and its looking like Jamaica's going to catch it next.
