30 years ago today, Elvis died. Where were you?

I was 11 years old, watching TV, when they broke in to report Elvis had died. I remember going upstairs to tell my Mom what I had heard.

Hard to believe30 years have passed since then.

I was also 11, visiting my brother here in CA (I'm originally from NYC). My mom and I were in the grocery store, and people were buzzing about how Elvis had died. At the time it was hard to believe.

We had just moved into a new house about a week earlier and I was playing with my Captain Americar in the living room. My mother's friend called to tell us the news then just a few minutes later we saw it on TV.

I was 12 and Vacationing in Puerto Rico when I heard the News...My sister and I were in total shock. I was already a big Elvis fan.....Can't believe it's been 30 years.....

I was 8, and I have no clue what I was doing. I don't even remember if I knew who Elvis was at the time. I was probably out playing baseball.

I had a morning paper route when John Lennon was killed a few years later, and I distinctly remember seeing the headline when I got the papers..
