This add really scared me when it was aired on tv. I did not see the film until adulthood and though it's a pretty good film, It's not anywhere near as scarey as the trailer.

I kind of like it but it is utter trash, just kind of fun. The soundtrack really helps, it's all early moog.

I dug this topic up from the grave b/c I'm getting ready to watch the movie Devil Doll on AMC.com in the B Movies section. I thought I'd check out the trailer on YouTube, and I bumped into the Magic trailer. I can remember being so freaked out by this, (I was 12 when it came out), and yet, everytime it came on, I had to watch it.
