Wow, it's a shame that WAVE 4 never saw the light of day. Super Powers was a great line.

The "Super Powers" Supergirl in the auction looks much "rougher" than the prototype pictured in the Super Powers site. I'm not sure what that means. Maybe it is a custom, but then again...

If you zoom in on the Supergirl box it says "one art sculpture" under the figure , and something too blurry to read followed by "this is not a toy" in the upper right hand corner. I tried blowing up the logo in the bottom right hand corner, but it got way too blurry to read, even after messing with it. It sure looks like an invisible woman or Xena head of a Toy Biz figure too. The arms look Toy Biz sourced as well.

I figure its got to be a custom somebody made, and this guy got it after the fact and doesnt know any better...or he's a hoaxer!

I've seen a lot of these on ebay and when I have seen the package back, they only show figures that were not released in the Super Powers line. I would think if it were a foreign issue, you'd see Batman, Superman, Flash, etc pictured on the card back. A friend of mine who is REALLY into Super Powers tells me that the vast majority of "rare foreign figures" are fakes, customs, or bootlegs, so I'd be careful. With that said, the Super Power Archive website does have some rare foreign stuff listed. That site is pretty damn thorough, so if I don't see an item there, I would think it was never released officially.

I've actually seen just about all of those and some others that weren't pictured on ebay at one time or another, but the pics are always too crappy to see any detail.
