I Feel Alittle Guilty, but I bought the Entire Lot of GI Joes

If you don't know, I priced an entire collection of 3 3/4" GI Joes and G1 Transformers for a lady who was hosting an estate sale. The only things I looked up were the Joe fig and the Xformer figs, and priced them below going ebay prices. There were over 30 1st variation Joes (many complete) and about 20 G1 Transformers (some complete) that I priced to just over $700 total.

There is also about 50 Joe vehicles that I didn't have time to look up, so I just priced them $10, $20, and $30 depending on the size(except the aircraft carrier and Cobra Command center $50 each). Everything came out to about $1500, and not a thing sold. So she called me and said $600, its all yours (thats what I offered her when I 1st saw the collection before looking the up).

Its gonna be a large, long sale, but I figure over $2000 gross.

I feel alittle guilty because it looked like I over priced them just so I can get the entire collection. I told her that, and she understood that I priced them fairly, and that there is just no market for them in Baton Rouge. There are two toy dealers in Baton Rouge, me and one other guy, and he didn't make the sale.

    Pics to come....

Actually when the 25th Anniversary stuff picks up more steam, the older Joe stuff should pick up steam with it.

Even good stuff slips by me sometimes. I priced the entire collection and found this, a knock off Transformer set. I didn't look him up, didn't think much of him, and slapped a $5 price tag on him. He didn't sell, I got him with the collection, and do some more research on him, WOW!!! I found the 3 figures sell for $20 each and a partial set with no box and missing weapons sell for $60. It is missing one missile. So, what am I looking at here, $150? Its on ebay already:

The only thing I have listed so far are the camera knock offs, styrofoam insert for Jetfire and armor for Jetfire. I will start listing tomorrow.

I have been offered within the 1st hour of listing, $100 BIN on the camera transformers. I turned him down. He has 700+ feedback, no negs, but I like to watch my auctions.

What are you feeling guilty over? Making money??

If you feel guitly about it, you should have pointed the owner to ebay in the first place. Local estate sales aren't the place to sell collectable toys and get top dollar for them.
