Shazam variant or Peter Parker variant?

I was looking through some heads tonight and noticed the head on the left is different from Shazam. It has a P.P. paintjob except for the eyes and it has no markings on back of neck.Has anyone seen this before? Is this a Shazam variant or a P.P. variant.

often secrt Identities lack the NPP trademark and Pete has the widows peak painted in. But his eyes should be blue so I would lean toward a mistake in paint or more likely - a left over parker head stuck on a SHAZAM

If'n it was a Parker head getting used for Shazam, would the paint op for the widows peak still be there? I mean, if the eyes were corrected, it would stand to reason that the hair would be as well.

The no copyright is a pretty solid bell ringer for the PP head. Perhaps someone put a little black paint on as a repair at some time?

Yeah, the peak looks like added paint.
I found some Shazam heads without copyright, too, but the color of the head needed to be more reddish/brownish, almost like a tan, to be a Peter Parker head.

The eyes look original to me. Maybe the hair was painted first and then the eyes later at the factory.I dont know how these were painted, but maybe thats how it was done.A PP head could have mistakenly been put in with the Shazam eye paint line.Just an uneducated guess on my part,i'am sure some one knows how these were painted.

In hand there is a distinct difference in the colors of heads. The one on right is flesh colored, the left one is tan.

Short neck plug means it's just another Shazam head...AE's/SI's had long neck plugs because they were on Type 1 bodies. Sorry to be the "bubble burster" .

0K, thanks i learned something today.I had always assumed the two head plug styles shown were type 1 heads and the type 2 heads were the ones with virtually no lower plug after the bevel part.So two different styles of type 2 head plugs and only one of the type 1.Still the head is kinda of an oddity and i think he'll make a great Parker custom.I'am sure thats the only way i will ever have one. Thanks again.

Those are fist-fighter heads with virtually no lower plug. Interesting widow's peak though. If it is original paint, it is definitely something you don't see.

Thanks for the additional info.It sure looks like original paint to me.Looking again at them, the sideburns seem different also,Shazams are rounded on the bottom. The sideburns on the other one are squared off.I have another Shazam i going to dig out and see what his head looks like.It appears the server change has affected the previous pics i posted.I'll post some side views later.
