    Batman/Doc Savage special announced at CCC09

    Some additional details about Doc Savage (with Batman) were announced at the DC Nation panel at CCC09:

    Look for a VERY experienced Doc and a new (like months old of experience) Bats .... (but not in regular continuity/world... drat!)

      That's part of the new "1st Wave" concept.....The Blackhawks, The Avenger, The Spirit and possibly Rima the Jungle Girl are also involved.

                                              I still love the Shadow/Batman team-up from Batman #259....a classic...great Irv Novick art also....he nails the Shadow IMO.

                                                  I always liked Irv Novick's art. It was , I dunno, really friendly in an old buddy way. Just pleasant to be around.

                                                  I feel the same about Dick Dillin's work as well. And Mike Sekowsky. And Joe Giella. No flashy stuff, no poster poses, good stuff that's just nice to see. These guys never get the lovin' they deserve.
