    It just dawned on me:
Someone asks us: which monsters would you like to see done?
    We give suggestions.
And then he says: "Ok. No problem. We're working on some of those already."

    YEAH!

      I agree. I'm a Hammer junkie myself.

If I had Mego style Christopher Lee, and Peter Cushing figures, I'd be happy as a little girl.

I think the Hammer movies are great.

But their actual monster designs are fair less iconic and to be honest a bit generic looking in comparison to Universals. Also keep in mind when the average person thinks of Frankenstein, Dracula, etc they without a doubt think of Universal's versions.

I personally think Hammer figures would be a tough sell to mass market.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

A Lee Dracula and Cushing Van Helsing might work.

                  Please add:
It! The terror from beyond space
                  Invasion of the saucer men
                  She creature
                  Invaders from Mars
The entire line-up of Roger Corman cheapo rubber monsters

And I still want an entire wave of Vincent Price! In all his guises...

I know that Amok Time is doing some of these but:
                  they're taking forever!
                  they are too expensive!
                  they're not 8 inch!
                  .
                  .
                  .

I agree. The thought of Hammer-oriented characters sounds great. But if you start looking at them from a design basis, they would need a ton of detail in the sculpts and some conceptualizing in the outfits to make them work as action figures. Make no mistake. Those films were great, but they worked primarily on mood with a special emphasis on graphic images (early stages of the gore genre). You can't embody those ideas in an action figure. Plus you have newer generations of consumers who have no idea what a Hammer film monster is. Even on a smaller market that may be a hard sell.

                      My monster EMCE wish list:

Hammer line, with Peter Cushing as Sherlock Holmes (from The Hound of Baskervilles). I agree about a Hammer line can be more difficult to produce and sell in a mass market, but that characters have never been done before, and they are 100% cult movies among comic store customers.

Time Machine 1960 movie classic line-with Dr. Wells, Eloi Weena, Morlock, and the machine...

This Island Earth line -with Exeter, Metaluna mutant, Dr. Ruth Adams and Dr. Cal Meacham.

                      (Phantom of the Paradise...)

... for more voices of the lunatic fringe - I'd also purchase Tokyo Zombie figures.
What? I couldn't be the only guy smirking at Afro in Jujitsu outfit Vs Japanese Schoolgirl Zombie could I?
                        Wait, I am?
In a similar theme Toho's old Matango! would be pretty cool to have one or two mushroom people from if done in a pastel super cheesy style.

(But then, I'm the guy who's been wanting to make Tears of the Black Tiger Megos too)

Gort! We need a Gort Mego figure ASAP! And a proper King Kong as well (that way, we can use Kong for our Grodd and Mallah customs!)
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."

I'd like to just see them continue Megos line with Bride, Creature, Invisible Man, Fly, etc. I also like what CTVT did with the Devil, Witch, Ghost and Reaper.

I'm not real keen on Freddy, Jason, Michael and the others as Megos. But that's just me.
