Bif Bang Pow! unveils 8" Flash Gordon Movie figure at SDCC

Congrats to all involved. It's a good time to be a Mego collector. I truly believe we are all driving the revival of a format.

I am, of course, looking forward to picking these up, and who knows, possibly even distributing them. I'll have to see how what their plans are.

Awesome stuff guys! When this reaches the production stage is it a Bif Bang Pow release or a Castaway Toys release?

Bif Bang Pow for sure!... we are designing and manufacturing only... we would love an exclusive... but it's their ballgame, and we are just proud to be playing... They really are top notch, and making a big splash with their toys, so we are honored to be asked to a part of it.

I see from their site that they are already quite invested in Flash Gordon, now releasing several characters as SDCC exclusives in the 7" format: (in addition to a couple of waves of figures being sold at EE as non Exclusives):

� Alex Ross / Flash Gordon� These SDCC Exclusives stand about 7-inches tall and highlight designs by the famed Alex Ross. Choose from Ming's dead henchman Klytus with protruding eyes and tongue, Prince Barin after his battle with Flash, and Dale in a white gown that's sure to catch our hero's eye. Limited edition of 1,200 pieces each. ($20 each)

It's great that they have added our own beloved "retro" 8" format to their products (assuming all goes according to plan!). Hopefully a lot of those Flash collectors will "cross over" to our 8" scale too!
