Somebody sent me in the mail yesterday a free DVD copy of this 11 year old Documantery on the whole apes series hosted by Roddy Mcdowell I think that AMC showed it years ago had never seen it .watched it this morning all I can say is Wow!

It came free with my Apes boxed DVD set (the original set released years ago)
Great video ... To be honest, I rewatch it more often then I do the actual movies

There's a two DVD "special collectors edition" set for this too... In addition to the BEHIND documentary itself, it contains the full length makeup test with Edward G. Robinson, the 1967 N.A.T.O. presentation, featurettes, etc... The second disc contains an unedited McDowall interview and outtakes and dailies from PLANET...

That was a great special and if I'm not mistaken I think it was the last Apes-related thing Roddy McDowall did. I taped it off AMC but I now have the DVD with my Ultimate DVD set.
